it took a while, but now it is finished, my new collectors room that I always wanted to have. In the past all my flare guns and accessories were stored in boxes and hidden away and I did have little opportunities to get them out or show them to fellow collectors. Then I defined a room as my own for this purpose and made some sort of deal with my wife, to have room and time to make my wish reality. I laid the floor with planks that are over 200 years old, and had wooden beams for the roof and the standups on the wall that are even older. With the upright beams I made some shelve and took long standard iron nails which I hammered into the posts in regular distances. Onto the nails I put some silicone to prevent damage on the flare guns, because I simply slide the barrels over the nails then and it makes a very good hold that I can adjust quickly.
As for my collection, these are most of my flare guns at present, some other stuff still in boxes or with friends. On the left side there are my LP34 Zinc examples, different variations. 2 specialities: one late Walther Zinc with WaA AND police acceptance, and one ERMA ERFURT Zinc with commercial proof and police acceptance. Then there is the Steel segment, LP26 and Lp34 in steel. Specialities: LP34 steel with late wooden grips and ac43 manufacturer code, and 2 long barreled examples, one of them with Luftwaffen proof. Then there is the Aluminium LP34 section, all different kinds, specialities: Sturmpistole (seen hanging on top beam). Then there is the LP42 section, unfortunately not all kinds, still missing “de” and “sww”. Specialities: a few “qyn” and a very early “euh” with Ser# 970. Then there is the Hebel section, specialities: manufacturer “Ferlach” and “PB” which is a rare tchech post WW1 manufacturer. And an original Reizstoffpistole with police acceptance. And then there are many others whereby I do not collect English or American guns, more interest in Russian, Yugoslavian, Hungarian and Czech flare guns. Interest mainly before 1946, but I do have later ones as well. Specialities: Russian S&W 1872 conversion, Hungarian M43, Russian M30 with brass frame, and others.
As for ammo and other items, I do like the special ammo like Wurfkörper and ammo for the Z a lot. I do have some and more in boxes, as well as quite an amount of normal original flare ammo. Then I have a LOT of ground dug ammo in the boxes, some well readable, some not. Many Fallschirm amongst them, parachute, that look nasty from the outside, but you peel the outer layer off and can still retrieve the original parachute
That is it (for now), I hope you like it
