Bulgarian hammer adjustment

Does anyone know if there is a hammer adjustment on a Bulgarian flare gun? The hammer stops about 1/8" (plus) from the firing pin. It's lubed and cleaned and the spring looks good but there is a gap between the hammer and firing pin when you pull the trgger. Any solutions? thanks

What you describe is considered normal function. The hammer is designed to "stand off" from the firing pin in its relaxed state, even with the trigger depressed. In fact the gap is even greater on my Russian and Polish examples. Just understand, the firing pin IS moving forward when the hammer is released from the cocked position...you can "ride" it with your thumb resting on the hammer and see it goes fully forward....and firing pin will protrude into the chamber with the barrel unlocked to visually inspect.

Would love to see a picture of yours. I bought a "new in wrapper" one from Gun Parts Corp a couple years ago....I was not impressed with the construction or finish work. Haphazard and rough at best. I thought something was wrong so exchanged it, and got another exactly the same condition.
