Could you show a close up of the markings on the Butt, and do you have the serial number ?? Usually it is under the grips and on the frame.

Marking on the frame. Bottom part of the grip.
How many of these signal pistols do you have seen ?
Good collecting, Signal

In 40+ years I have seen dozens and have owned at least 12. I currently own 6, plus 2 that have been converted into boot pistols.
I have seen more than most people but of course this has been a specialty of mine for many years.

This is a Holster for the 1862 Civil War Flare Pistol. I have only seen three, and the other 2 are in terrible condition.

They called It a pouch rather then a holster.

Hi Signalman,
The correct spelling is Condict. You may recall that Christensen was of the opinion that the S.H. Condict Company actually produced a few Model 1862 Army signal pistols. Thanks to you we can prove that they did produce the holster.

Hi Signalman,
You mentioned you have two of these converted to boot pistols.
It would be nice if we can see some pictures.
Many years ago I read about one of these converted boot pistols. It was found
in a chest in an attic in England. The chest had been property of a seafaring ancestor.
Do you if any of yours came from England?
