I show my Walther steel frame pistol dated 1935. # 1990 a . Wooden grips.
I hoped it was a model 26 short barrel but it cannot be if dated 1935.

Re: Walther Steel Frame 1935
I just read that additional model 1926 steel framed pistols were made in 1935 & 1936.So it must be one of these 1926 models.
Re: Walther Steel Frame 1935
yours has a "small" trigger and guard so id assume its the early ones, because towards the end the steel flare guns and all aluminium and zink guns have the "large" trigger and guard. however im not an expert on the early steel walthers
Re: Walther Steel Frame 1935
Hi,
I've got the same kind of 'strange' model.
The one in the middle is dated 1935. It is marked Waffenfabrik Walther Zella Mehlis (Thür).
It has the Walther banner. Its Id is 3210a.
Regards

Re: Walther Steel Frame 1935
Thank you both for the comments. I missed the small trigger guard . All my other German pistols have the enlarged guard.
Re: Walther Steel Frame 1935
Regarding the Heers; 1926 models were manufactured through 1935. 1934 models began manufacture in 1936, although there are transitional examples in 35 and 36 and this is just my observation.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.
