A few photo's of some of my SL and SLD Stainless Walthers

Post by signalman »

This is a couple of photo's showing 24 of my 30+ Walther Stainless SL and SLD flare pistols

Photo's are poor quality as when I reduced their size, I lost detail.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

My god

Some of the SL/SLD have "N" or "O" marking on the grip frame.

For some years ago divers found a SLD in Narvik in Norway in a sunken ship from the Kriegsmarine occupation fleet 1940.

http://www.bjerkvik.gs.nl.no/Jagere/Heidkamp.htm

On the grip it was marked "O" and 3 digits.Have you anytime seen any system on this numbers ,witch wessel the belonged to ? ;)

No, unless the gun or some documents identifying the pistol would be marked with the ships name.

No wonder I can't find a SL. Howard has all of them!

Beautiful collection!
