Belgian Hebel

Post by GMCollection »

Hi,

I present a Hebel with a 6,10'' short barrel WWII.
This is a Belgian model, with no maker's mark or number, but with the Belgian hallmark. The photos show a notable difference in the design of the percussion system compared to the original models. The original spiked hammer is replaced by a flat hammer and a floating firing pin.
At least 3 Belgian models:
* The one presented without manufacturer's markings
* A. Francotte Liège, A. Francotte
* F. Delu Liège, F. Delu

Very nice, thanks for sharing this!

I have never seen a Hebel with a floating firing pin before.

Hi
This Hebel with a floating is a Belgium model 1924
The service marks on the gun means the following :
S.T/T.Tr. : Service Technique / Troupes Transmission
translate : Technical Service / Troops Transmission
There is also a Dutch Hebel model 1937 with floating firing pin.

Hi,

I've seen the same model, with identical Belgian markings and a standard barrel.
* 2 productions long and short ?
* WWII shortened long barrel ?

the Hebel made in Belgium with the Liège markings can be found in model 1894 and model 1924 and with both a long and shortened barrel.
I have 2 short model 1924 and 2 long 1894.
